whenever you're walking down
the street
look at the ground look at the
asphalt you see
it's black as night just like your
heart
and the cracks on our road
have broken far apart
so now you're better that me
oh what can i do
looking at the road ahead
i don't see you
take a look at roads once traveled
isn't it depressing
how it all unraveled
just sit and watch as the cars pass
by
each one represents all the fun
times
but they all came and now they're
gone
because you can't drive a car
when there's no gas to go on
so now you're better that me
oh what can i do
looking at the road ahead
i don't see you
take a look at roads once traveled
isn't it depressing
how it all unraveled
just reached the intersection
and which way did you go
little did i know
you'd travel down
my most dreaded street
and there's no stops signs that
you'll see
driving blind is done very dangerously
glance through your window pane
if you could only see
you would see me on the street
corner
in all my misery
so now you're better that me
oh what can i do
looking at the road ahead
i don't see you
take a look at roads once traveled
isn't it depressing
how it all unraveled
So I may as well buy a few new cars
Hit the gas and drive them really
far
I'll burn some rubber because I
like the smell
but i'll avoid the road we once
paved
it's a hellish deathrap so i'll
just stay away
i think i'd rather go to heavenly
lane
it's a smooth ride all of the way
